Queen Kenzie Smithyman
Kenzie, the 18-year old daughter of Russell and
Jennifer Smithyman of Prosser, graduated from Prosser High School in 2017 and,
at the same time, earned her Associate’s Degree from Columbia Basin College.
She plans to attend WSU Pullman to study veterinarian medicine.
Kenzie began riding at age six and has been involved in 4-H and FFA, as well as
the Washington High School Equestrian Team. She has been competitive in a
range of disciplines. Kenzie's career goal is to become a bovine
veterinarian. Traveling the Pacific Northwest as an ambassador for the
Horse Heaven Round-Up Rodeo is an honor Kenzie enjoys. With more than 80
events throughout her reign, Kenzie's goal is to invite everyone to attend the
first of the Big 4 Rodeos and the Benton Franklin Fair, August 22-26, in Kennewick.
