Ashleigh Emlaw, daughter of Don and Alexius Emlaw, is a 2024 graduate of Kamiakin High School whose lifelong love of animals has guided her educational and career path. Raised in Nevada before settling in Kennewick, Ashleigh formed a deep bond with horses and became an active member of the rodeo community. This connection inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, and she is currently furthering her studies at Penn Foster and working as a veterinary assistant at Double Arrow Veterinary Clinic. Through her dedication, Ashleigh strives
to make a meaningful difference in animal welfare while honoring her childhood dreams.
Driven by a desire to serve her community and inspire future generations, Ashleigh is seeking the title of Benton Franklin Fair and Rodeo Queen. Her goal is to continue the cherished tradition of rodeo, educate the public about its various aspects, and instill in others the same confidence and encouragement she receives from a strong network of family, friends, and former rodeo queens.
She is committed to reminding young girls that it is never too late to pursue their dreams and to never give up.
