As the 2026 Queen, Ashleigh is honored to represent the tradition, heart, and community spirit of rodeo across the Pacific Northwest. This year, she’ll travel to more than 60 events – rodeo arenas, parades, festivals, and civic gatherings – sharing her passion for the sport and inviting everyone she meets to experience the Benton Franklin Fair & Horse Heaven Round-Up.
A lifelong animal lover and active member of the rodeo community, Ashleigh’s connection to horses inspired her path toward veterinary medicine. She is currently continuing her studies through Penn Foster College while working as a veterinary assistant at Double Arrow Veterinary Clinic in Pasco, WA.
The daughter of Don & Alexius Emlaw of Kennewick, WA, Ashleigh proudly serves as an ambassador for rodeo, committed to educating the public, honoring its rich traditions, and inspiring confidence in future generations. With the support of her family, friends, and former rodeo queens, she encourages young girls to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams, no matter where they’re starting from.
Her personal motto, “take that step,” reflects her belief in saying yes to opportunity, growth, and leadership. Ashleigh looks forward to making meaningful connections throughout her reign and welcoming you to the Benton Franklin Fair and Horse Heaven Round-Up, August 25-29, 2026 in Kennewick, WA.
