Tag Day Procedures & Photo uploads

Steers Only

This year we are giving you two options for tagging your steers:

  • In person Tag day for BOTH Benton Franklin and CBJLS will be Saturday, March 27th from 8:00am-noon at the CBJLS grounds.
  • If you would prefer to tag your own steer, you must contact Brian or Danika to pick up your tags in Tri-Cities or Prosser, beginning on Saturday, March 27th. Photos of tagged animals must be submitted by Monday, April 13th.

Things to Know

If you are in 4-H, here are (3) three separate registrations that must be done before tag day!

  • You must be registered for 4-H or FFA prior to tag day/pick up. Register for 4-H here!
  • All beef exhibitors are required to have YQCA certification prior to tag day/tag pick up. YQCA Registration!
  • You must REGISTER for the Benton Franklin Fair before tag day/pick up. Register for the Benton Franklin Fair Here!
  • Please bring your brand slips showing transfer from the breeder to exhibitor.
  • If your steer is from out of state, please provide a copy of your veterinary slip.

Tagging paperwork and photos of tagged animals must be uploaded to your same market entry in your Showorks account (fair entry system).Step by step instructions on how to upload your paperwork and tagged animal photo can be found below.

Keep your animal Health Record forms, they will be due and need to be turned on animal load-in day. If procedures change you will be notified.

SHEEP, GOAT AND SWINE EXHIBITORS

Now that you’re registered for the Fair, we need some paperwork. It’s the same set of forms you would usually fill out on tag day, but we’re collecting them electronically this year. You can download the forms below. Fill them in electronically and save them to your Showorks account under your market entry. These forms including any Out of State paperwork must be submitted by May 10 or you will not receive tags.


Step by step instructions can be found below.

Curbside tag pick-up will be May 15 at Fair office in Pasco, 812 W. Washington St.


Swine: 7 am - Noon
Sheep/Goats: 11 am - 4 pm.

You will remain in your vehicle. We will have signage and staff on hand to direct you to the correct que. Staff and volunteers will have appropriate PPE and the exchange will be contactless. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding!

Photos of tagged animals must be uploaded to your same market entry in your Showorks account by 21. You will use the same uploading process as you did with your Tag Day forms.
